Special Auction
USS LST 325 Mount Vernon Salute Flag
| This is your opportunity
to acquire a truly unique piece of history.
This auction is for LST-325's American flag that was dipped while rendering
traditional honors in passing Mount Vernon, home of the Father of our Country,
George Washington.
This all-weather flag measures 5 by 9-1/2 feet, almost twice the size of the ordinary home flag. A business or individual could proudly fly it on a flagpole, or have it displayed in a shadowbox. This is a blind auction. Bids will not be opened until the closing date of July 15, 2005 at midnight EDT. There is a reserve price that won't be disclosed, but it can be mentioned that it is in the four digits. Please do not bid unless you're willing to go at least that high. If the reserve price is not met or exceeded, there will be no winner. Bids received are considered to be binding contracts to buy. Payment must be received from the winning bidder no later than July 31. Bids must include the bidder's name, address and telephone, along with the amount of the bid. Incomplete bids will be ignored. Bids may not be retracted. Click here to enter your bid. And bid high ... this flag will not be let go cheap! |
